Cedell Davis was one of a kind. At the age of 9 Cedell got polio and lost the use of his hands. Determined to play the guitar he went into the kitchen and got a dinner knife. By holding the blade in his left hand, he was able to play the guitar by sliding the handle up and down the neck of guitar.

One night at a bar, the police performed a raid and in the rush, Cedell was knocked over and trampled by panicked patrons. This event confined him to a wheelchair the rest of his life.

Cedell Davis played and sang at various spots around Arkansas up until his time of passing at 91 years old.
